About Kitchen Aloha

Hawaiian & Japanese comfort foods

Located at 752 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94102, Kitchen Aloha operates as a japanese serving San Francisco in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (415) 510-1653. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, kitchenalohasf.com.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 86 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Francisco follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Tiny, unassuming hole-in-the-wall with surprisingly great poke bowls! Came upon it by accident and I'm so glad I did. Loved my custom bowl with spicy tuna and salmon. Recommended!

I come here from time to time to order chicken musubis and loco mocos! Feels like the only place that has these. Always very delicious. You have to wait a bit for the order, but that just means it's fresh right? Not too pricey either. It's a nice place.

Picked up musubis for a hike, owner is friendly and the saucy, spicy fried musubis are a real treat

Consistently delicious poke! Not fancy, but always fresh and really fairly priced. I love getting the build-your-own poke bowl, plenty of sauce and flavor without being overwhelming. The spam musubis are all great too (I’ve tried the classic, fried, and spicy). It’s family-owned and operated, which makes me even happier to support them. Perfect for takeout, though I’ll sometimes dine in for lunch (just note there isn’t a ton of seating).

Favorite spot to stop by on my lunch break! Cute little shop by the City Hall building in SF. Owners and workers are always kind, patient, and welcoming! I’ve tried the spicy tuna bowl *$11 ish dollars* and the seafood poke bowl *$12.50* (honey mayo tempura and scallops). Portions are great and toppings and sauces are hefty. I love this spot and couldn’t recommend them more if you’re looking for a spot that’s delicious and decently priced!

Really yummy! Super good price for $11! A VERY big bowl with avocado, lots of veggies, seaweed salad, and lots of yummy tuna! Definitely will be coming back! & friendly staff :) it’s right off of VanNess. Also some limited seating but not much!

The best to eat. Small but services are the best. Food fresh. Lunch time little busy. But if you order maybe you wait 10 mm. For setting only 3 table for 4 guests. But host she is soo friendly.
